Total POLA volume—at 799,315 TEU (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units)—marked a 47% annual gain, against February 2020, a period that was dealing with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Port of Long Beach reported that total February volume—at 771,735 TEU—headed up 43.3% and set a new record, for the single largest annual increase in the port’s 110 years of operation.
